Rallen and Jody - Page 2

This is the backstory of Rallen the Beheeyem and Jody the Bisharp, the parents of Joe the Bisharp, leader of Team Nighty Knights.

The story begins with Rallen's introduction! Oh my gosh, there are SO many fun things on this page that it's amazing that I was able to squeeze them all in! Fun fact: The whole Hula-Fruit Man thing was an original "character" I made back in 5th grade. I'm actually surprised that stuff as random as that can make its way back in here. While the original Hula-Fruit Man was a guy who basically had fruits of all sorts for his face, Rallen is wearing Oran Berries, Nanab Berries, a Pinap Berry, and a slice of a Watmel Berry. I figured that the same berries would grow on both planets since all Pokemon pretty much can eat the same berries.

Rallen is a total pushover when it comes to his three little sisters. Even if they become annoying at times, he actually gets along with them (and his parents) the best out of everyone on the planet. It is said that, in trying to please them, he learned many of his unusual talents, such as cooking, dancing, female impersonation, etc., many of which ended up being useful to teach to Jody later on.

Invader Slimjim is basically a parody of Invader Zim (by Jhonen Vasquez), and Sergeant Kirara is basically a parody of Sergeant Frog (by Mine Yoshizaki), but with a Death Note reference at the same time. It was so much fun to include two famous kid's cartoons featuring invading aliens in the same comic.

Another fun fact: That quote about Rallen's mom not wanting him to join the military because he's her only son was inspired by what my own mom says to my brother.

And as for High Commander Tierney...well, for a guy who only appears on one page, he sure has a ton of personality. There was another character named "Commander Tierney" (a human) in another of my fanfictions from way back, and I figured that since they were both high-up military men, it would make sense to reintroduce him as a Beheeyem this time. Just be glad that this Tierney has replaced his almost incessant cussing with a fake mustache addiction.
