August 6, 2014 update: : Figured I could get this guy onto an App 2.0 by now since he's so big, but my real reason has to do with actually updating Gandra's app in a bit since I want my two NPCs' apps to be the same size. Also, now his outfit is updated to look like a legitimate Native American-style clown, at least the clowns in the Pueblo/Hopi tribes. I didn't actually learn that clowns were a real legit job in Native American societies that were considered even more powerful than shamans in terms of being able to entertain people and enforce social norms at the same time (not to mention keep people aware of the possibilities of ways of life other than their own) until like last fall, but by then, Jukidoor's role in Amy's story sort of...well, diminished by a lot. But I'm glad that I at least get to draw him like this now, even if I'm not likely to use him too much in the group anymore.

Anyway, for those of you who aren't familiar with him, this is the father of Amy Apirana Sumiura who is a deadbeat, flirtatious lazy butt who manages to be lovable and fun-loving at the same time! Though he shares the same birthday and age as my actual dad, don't worry. My dad's personality is NOTHING like Jukidoor's. (I've updated his age to 52 ahead of time in case I forget.)

Personality:

The first thing that you'd notice about him is that he is loud. Loud and bold. And a flirt. And a total cassanova~. Jukidoor is even more zany and crazy than his daughter, and can never seem to rest looking for the next wild, uproarious party, tending to annoy others in between parties with his silly antics (even Amy). Thankfully, despite his boldness, he's also a master of finessing social situations, knowing when it's okay to crack bawdy jokes and when it's not. Even in a life-threatening situation, he is cool as a cucumber and exudes an air of confidence that seems like it can never be broken. He also likes to randomly shout, "PIKE PIKE PIKE PIKE" over and over again while jabbing his pole randomly in the air, even though it's not a pike anymore. Don't worry; it's his way of psyching himself up and testing the endurance of his arms over and over again.

On a deeper level, the only times you'd likely see a serious side of him is 1) whenever he's concerned about anything regarding his daughter, and 2) if someone did something inexcusably wrong in front of him. It's also the only time he'll ever fight seriously, so when his face has a sudden dark look to it, you'd better run away fast. He also might have been the type who matured early, but it only seemed to make him more acutely aware of his daughter's predicament. He cares about her very much, sympathizing with her since they were both considering oddballs within the Hoshizora tribe who didn't act their gender, and wants nothing more to make sure that she lives a happy life.

History:

Like Amy, Jukidoor was also born into the then-Hoshizora (now Pelaruna) tribe, but, being one of the rare boys, wasn't allowed to leave the tribe, and was forbidden from participating in anything dangerous like fighting, defending the tribe, and going on the Vision Quest, things that that the girls were regularly urged to do. Unlike many of the other guys in the tribe, however, he tried rebelling against the arrangement at any chance he got, always wanting to prove that he could be useful and do more than just stay put and let girls compete for his favor. In addition, despite how much travelling the tribe did, he always wanted to see what the world outside it was like. This didn't sit well with the tribespeople, especially his mother, who happened to be tribal leader Lady Zeena, and as a result, surveillance increased greatly against him, cutting off all hopes of his escape.

He decided that, based on the logic of the situation, if he agreed to marry someone and have at least four kids (with one of them being a son, hopefully) and raise them properly, then he'd have fulfilled his purpose with the tribe and would be able to finally leave. So he did, choosing the only woman he actually liked, Jukeen Apirana. He had only a mild sense of responsibility at best towards his first three daughters, Kovo, Maka, and Peluna, but it wasn't until his fourth daughter Paikea was born that he finally started taking the whole parenting thing seriously.

He really cared for Paikea, especially since he came up with her name himself, and did his best to make sure she was happy. However, at the same time, he was too excited to finally get a chance to leave the tribe upon Paikea's soon-to-be 16th birthday and Vision Quest, upon which he wouldn't have to be responsible for his kids anymore. (Which didn't apply to 3-year-old Mokuba, his only son, since Jukeen insisted on raising him her own way.) As a result, he didn't keep a close eye on his own flagrant flirtatious behavior towards other women that was creeping up again, and even ignored his wife's visible jealousy whenever that happened. It wasn't until he accidentally overheard Paikea's anxieties and how they stemmed from his behavior one fateful rainy day that he realized his error, and ran away. Though he finally achieved freedom, he only felt shame at how he failed the one daughter he truly cared about.

Over the next five years, he alternated keeping tabs on Paikea on her Vision Quest and travelling the world like he always wanted, learning about other cultures and being able to party in ways he'd never known. However, despite being able to hear his daughter's pleas for him to come back a mile away, he could never get the heart to do so, haunted by her words that rainy day.

It wasn't until she had come to the kingdom of Aether in the land of Avalon that he began to notice that something was finally turning around for the better. There, Paikea was starting to finally feel more comfortable around guys, and starting hanging out with a Mawile named Ryoshi Sumiura a lot. Eventually, when they both finally realized that they had been falling in love with each other all this time, Paikea finally admitted, "You know that thing about how I was worried I'd be a kid in my head forever? I take it WAY back." Jukidoor finally felt like he was worthy to face his daughter again.

Now, the Clefable is staying in the kingdom of Aether with his daughter, keeping tabs on her and Ryoshi, making sure they both know what they're doing when it comes to dating, and not-so-subtly trying to push them towards marriage. And in the meantime, he not only gets to have parties in a new place, but because said kingdom regularly assigns missions that take them to new countries, he gets to fulfill his dreams of both travelling the world and ensuring his daughter has a happy life at the same time~. A win-win situation for all!

Move Set: 
 Minimize – Jukidoor sucks himself in and compresses his body so much that he can become up to a quarter of his original size, or even an eighth if he really tries. Besides making it much harder for people to hit him, he can squeeze himself into and out of insanely small spaces for comedic effect.
 Substitute – By actually using a quarter of his life energy, Jukidoor can create an exact decoy of himself to distract people while the real him gets away or performs cools stuff behind the scenes.
 Double Team – As he rapidly moves around the field, he makes lots of illusory copies of himself via his sweet dance moves while singing along to "Can't Touch This." Another of his many tactics to draw the audience's attention elsewhere so they can be surprised by his real act.
 Metronome – Just from wagging his finger, Jukidoor calls upon the magical power of the tribal spirits to grant him any attack. The thing is, the attack he gets is completely random, but since he’s the type who thrives on impromptu acting, he can easily roll with whatever he gets. Even if he ends up accidentally blowing himself up with Explosion or something!
 Wake-Up Slap – Even though he had to forget Sing in order to make way for his new moveset, that doesn't mean that Jukidoor can't sing anymore; he just doesn't need anyone falling asleep on his act. He still kept this move, though, just to wake up anyone who does somehow fall asleep on him. For the laughs, of course.
 Thunder Wave – Jukidoor uses two fingers (sometimes using BOTH arms for four fingers total) and jabs them into the opponent's heart like an anachronistic Taser, sending a jolt of electricity into their spinal cord, which severely cuts down on their movement speed throughout the whole battle, or at least for an entire performance. Another moves for the laughs.

Relationship Status: Technically still married to Jukeen Apirana the Wigglytuff. But he pretty much ignores this, so feel free to get some, ladies~.

Likes: Travelling, danger, adventure, women, making sure Amy is okay, and pikes (poles). Big, long, heavy pikes (poles) of awesome.
Dislikes: Being trapped (both literally and figuratively), party poopers, tyrannical authority figures.
