Part 17: The Finest Praise of All

In the end, Amy and Chikorita waved goodbye to Ligray and Psyme, and Rigley helped them fly back down to Tao Village. They explained everything that happened to Bisharp, Ralts, Lipless, PK and Shroomsworth, Mike, and everyone else who wanted to know.

That night, Blune and Psyme invited Amy and Chikorita to attend an official ceremony in the flagship where they were recognized and given medals for their efforts to uncover O-Bem and O-Beema’s evil plan and successfully stop them before they could plunge both planets into a brutal, bloody, possibly one-sided war. They were also properly thanked for saving Ligray and Rigley’s lives in the Sandsong Desert, and not only that, but for being kind to the Elgyems and helping them out during their long duration in Tao Village without their memories. All of Team Pecha’s friends, even Team Nighty Knights, were invited to the celebration, and all the new Elgyem and Beheeyem immigrants helped them fly up there. It was a smashing success.

PK might have complained heavily about the hefty citizenship fees that all the new immigrants had to pay, but considering how Planet Paion’s currency was different from Tao Villages, she had no choice but to let them in. Nevertheless, even she had to admit just how quickly and efficiently they could build new housing for themselves and others if they needed them.

Though there were concerns among the Elgyems and Beheeyems about their ability to adapt to a place with an extremely primitive technology level compared to their home planet, Blune and Psyme reassured them that they could always fly back up to the flagship (and any of the ships in the fleet) that was currently in orbit if they missed the comforts of home. But considering how they all got to see just how remarkably well Ligray and Rigley adapted to the village with little to no side effects (granted, their memories were lost), they were filled with hope that they, too, could make the adjustment. Even if some of them had to mind-wipe each other in order to smoothen out the transition.

Ligray and Rigley now lived with their parents aboard the flagship of the fleet, where they helped them out in any way they could, especially Ligray. She helped get a list of everyone (not a Psychic type) who wanted to move to Planet Paion, as well as those from Planet Paion who wanted to move to Planet Portania, and arrange flights between the two planets. She also helped her parents work out round of advisors to assist them with the intense workload of being planetary leaders so the four of them could spend more time together as a family. As for Rigley, he officially moved out of the Pecha Berry house and was busy with helping things out with his family, but he also kept a sharp eye on the surface for any new awesome Rescuer missions that might pop up.

Bisharp, Ralts, and Lipless were upset that they were out partying at the café while all this madness was happening, especially since Bisharp was more than willing to kick O-Bem and O-Beema’s butts again now that he was no longer a Pawniard as he was the last time he fought them. Also, Ralts and Lipless were really disappointed that they wouldn't be allowed to go see Planet Paion for a while, as any additional Psychic-types were prohibited for obvious environmental reasons. But Amy, Chikorita, and Rigley told them the whole stor—actually, they simply showed the video footage from the cameras behind Rigley’s eyes. They were all thoroughly entertained.

Amy and Chikorita looked into the night sky from time to time, sometimes a little lonely, but satisfied in the knowledge that when it comes to helping friends, no task is too impossible, and no request is not worth doing. Especially when it comes to helping people get their memories back. She asked if the white stones worked on other Pokémon, but unfortunately, they only worked on Elgyems and Beheeyems. They were working on a prototype for anyone else, though, so there was always hope.

Most importantly of all, they were proud to have finally helped make a real difference in the lives of some of their closest friends…and having said goodbye to Ligray for good, they could now face the losses in their own heart…the loss of their old friend…just a little better than they could before.

The End!

The End!

Beginning: [link]

Part 17 of 17. This epic story takes place between Event 4 and Mission 5, regardless of the actual amount of time that passes between the two events.

Summary: Ligray has been abducted...by aliens! In order for Rigley, Amy, and Chikorita to rush to her rescue, they have to find some way to get into outer space. But when they do, they find that it's way beyond an ordinary rescue mission as their lives are jeopardized, and deep, dark truths behind Ligray and Rigley's memories, their home planet, and their real purposes are revealed...

And I'm finally done! I'm so glad I could finally tell this epic story of the conclusion of the goals that Team Elgyem had been trying to acheive ever since they became a team. Though a comic would be nice, this project has shown me that it would clearly take too long, and making a series of pictures to this prose story was tiring enough. Thank you all for reading!

Ah, the story made my heart sad in the end, but it was really good; too bad Team LGM is split up but high hopes for Rigley. We're all rooting for him; I'm sure all the friends he has made will be happy to support him, as well as all of your Teams~

As for this picture, the shine in Amy's eyes is -beautiful-; that's a really nice effect~ The stars in the background are really nice as well, plus the snow makes it look even more majestic. :3 Plus the shading is really nice as well; you do night time scenes really nicely, especially when something shiny is involved.

All in all, great job as usual. :>
