Back when I was plotting Mission 5 (with the great big collab group, of course), I thought it would be a sweet idea if Kyurem actually chomped on Amy, which was a direct tie-in to what he almost did in Event 3, which was in turn inspired by the rumor (possible truth?) from Pokemon Black and White that Kyurem could eat people and Pokemon.

Then in Part 7 of the Mission 5 epilogue, Coliche says, "She'll die if she takes a bite head-on!" and takes the blow for PK, becoming severely wounded in the process.

And Amy showed no signs of permanent damage after freeing herself from Kyurem's mouth.

Oops.

Wound goofs aside, I decided to use this discrepancy to my advantage for this story. In Mission 5, Amy was in Kyurem's mouth for a pretty good long while, screaming a lot, while Coliche was bitten just once, and HER scream just so happened to be what Kyurem needed to realize he was stuck in a dark illusion. From Amy's point of view, it's more than just a simple case of mere jealously--it's utter betrayal. Don't tell her that this is obviously because Coliche is Kyurem's official guardian and responsibility and that the two of them go way way way way WAY back--it'll just make things worse for her.

The last two panels directly tie into my Mission 3 comic. If Coliche didn't lose the Gray Stone in the first place, then PK wouldn't have bossed Amy and Chikorita into helping her, and thing entire Kyurem mess would have never happened. Worst of all...it looks like all the pain and suffering that Amy and Chikorita had to go through, all that time, would be for nothing. And that's why Amy looks so mad at PK, aside from insensitive comments regarding pain.

Sorbet the Kyurem, Coliche the Virizion, PK the Kecleon, and Prosphora the shiny Ho-oh are all NPCs belonging to #PMD-Explorers.
