And I am finally done! Ever since I first started drawing EVERYTHING (including the pencilling) on the computer, which was in Mission 3, I've been getting better, and finally, I think I've managed to get back to the level of quality that I had in Mission 2. It was also a lot of fun to work with manga-sized pages so I could get some practice planning out how to panel on them. But yeah, 40 pages...next time, I think I'll make longer pages so the page count won't be so insane. I liked doing this for this story, though.

I also seriously lucked out this mission compared to all the others. Not only was there the opportunity to recruit a 2nd-stage Pokemon of any type (if you've done 4 or more missions), this opportunity was right after Kyurem had to be turned back into the Gray Stone, PLUS, the mission was vague and open-ended enough for me to be able to recruit Darren and still complete the mission. Finally, the Gnasher story "The Pulled String" revealed that not only was it possible for certain Pokemon to come back from the dead as Ghost-types...they could also appear to have radically different personalities. Considering how I wished that Grovyle could be a team member, as well as wanting a Golurk who had a really cool speech pattern, I realized I could combine the two character ideas into one!

I don't think circumstances in the group will ever be this favorable to me any more, so I really put a ton of effort into this comic. I mean, seriously. I've actually had this cute little plot idea in mind for a long time (minus the actual mission, but again, that was not only insertable, it actually improved the story), but I was always prepared for the greater possibility that the group's story wouldn't allow for it to happen.

Anyway, now that Darren is officially a part of the team, things will be different from now on, for everyone. There will be a lot more character development, character dynamics, and a lot more cool stuff that I'm sure I'll get to reveal as they do the rest of the missions of Arc 2. Compared to my abysmal Mission 1 entry (which wasn't even a comic, haha!), I've really come a long way! I couldn't ask for a better intro to Arc 2.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who've faved, commented, or even simply followed along to the very end of my story. I hope that this story has given you as much satisfaction reading it as it has for me to draw it, and has opened your eyes to just how full of depth a story can be. Thank you all!
