My entry for 's Main Mission #2.

For the Merchants: Accompany Shroomsworth, who needs to make a very important delivery of Grass Pokemon eggs to Sapling Village.

And the Rescuers: Mike needs a team to volunteer to help him rescue Pokemon from Castle Draclugia. The victims are Grass Pokemon from Sapling Village, which is reducing their population drastically. Merlot, the kidnaper, is dressing them up in frilly outfits and forcing them to be her servants. It’s also said that she has Dragon-type Pokemon as her aides.

Page 9 of 15. That was quicker to make than I thought! Here is part 1 of 2 of what is by far my most favorite sequence in the whole comic, despite the relative lack of background detail. It features Amy's main internal conflict, and hints at why she and Chikorita joined the Merchants' Guild and not the Rescuers. Panels 1 through 9 are among my strongest seqences in that I was able to mix internal conflict with external conflict. Of course, it would have been even better if I could've squished her thoughts in one panel instead of having to bridge those borders, but that's life. Besides, I had the hardest time coming up with what her thoughts should be!

Merlot is charging up a Hyper Beam! All to destroy...WHAT? But to make up for the long charge-up time (and subsequent rest time), she has created a "targeting system" *cough* *imaginary* *cough* that will allow her to hit her target. Basically, I realized that in my original script, the cart just sat there and Shroomsworth never pulled it...so I had to insert those two panels in there.

Coming up next is my most favorite page of all time!
