Mega Ryoshi~ ::Birthday Giftart::

Giftart for ChicoChikorita. Happy Birthday, Cecil!!

He was actually a watcher of mine for several years now, but it was only quite recently when he joined Pokémon of Avalon because of me and made Ryoshi that we actually became good friends, as I'm sure all of you know by now. So of course he deserves a really good giftart to compensate for the fact that he's been making them for me for the past few years now! And of course, for being the only person whom I've been able to keep an "eternal collab" sort of deal going on for this long, in...ever. Thought I'd give him a giftart of Ryoshi in his Mega form, since that IS what the new X/Y games brought~.

If I already didn't like how people tended to view Mawile as feminine to begin with, you can only IMAGINE my ire when I found out how its Mega form practically did absolutely nothing to counteract that stereotype; in fact, seem to push it even more. So to counteract that, I not only played with Mega Ryoshi's design to make him more masculine-looking (with some advice from a friend regarding how his hairstyle could be handled), but decided to render this picture in the style of a certain show called Gurren Lagaan. ...Which sort of looks a bit like superhero comics, what with the pure black shading and aggressive line strokes and everything. Whatever! I just hope the real Ryoshi would like this.

Because everyone knows that chicks dig giant robots guys with pink pants. Obviously~.
