Jigglypuff's Song Lyrics

Ignore the picture; that's just an experiment I did to see what Amy Vee Purima would look like with lighter colors. Here are the lyrics, all to the tune of Jigglypuff's song in the anime. I'm serious. Listen to the song on Youtube or something and sing these lyrics along with the tune!

Yeah, I meant to make an entry that crossed over both contests...specifically, a full-blown Nimbasa City musical of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time, Darkness, and Sky, complete with lyrics for the intro song. But, uh...I got distracted with Pokemon Black and White, Soul Eater anime watching, Meteos: The Movie, and preparations for the Abridged Series of awesomeness, so...I quickly discovered that the deadline for this contest was coming up fast, and whipped this little ditty up in the past couple of hours. Normally, writing songs ends up killing my brain cells (my brother is the real songwriter whiz in my family), but this one turned out better than usual.

This song can work equally well both in the Trainers' world and in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon world. Most Pokemon and people tend to fall asleep after the second stanza, so almost nobody can get to the part where if everyone believed, that world could come true...which explains why Jigglypuff is so upset. How can this world change when they all keep falling asleep before receiving the message?

The story behind these lyrics is that I've noticed that in nearly all Pokemon games to date, whether it's the mainstream games or even the Mystery Dungeon ones, is that Jigglypuff always ends up taking a backseat in them. I mean, seriously! No competitive battling team really has them, and their poor stats make it difficult to use even with their high HP. So that got me to thinking..."Maybe Jigglypuff's true strengths aren't being played to in all the games ever released!" And in many ways, that's true. It's hard for cute characters to accomplish much in fighting-oriented games mostly appealing to boys. (Exceptions: Mew, Celebi, etc.)

Still, our world is certainly closer to that ideal world where might isn't the only quality that makes right...but we can always accomplish more!
