Yes, I...might have eventually gotten Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS and took a picture of my gameplay in it to serve as the background for the last panel there... XD

Anyway, this comic is interesting because I have a tendency to write my main characters as severely underpowered. At least in my original works, anyway; with Intergalactic Fusion being almost but not quite that much of an exception as you'll see later on. (Amy the Jigglypuff from PMD-E was a more inconsistent case since though she actually displayed a bit of power on a few random occassions, she never really used it and even seemed to have this big inferiority complex, oftentimes forgetting that she was even that strong to begin with. It...honestly reflects my mindset at the time, which is part of the reason why I'm glad I'm out of that group now and don't have to follow its rules anymore.)

But in these games, I have observed that the main player character and the partner tended to be blessed with better than usual stats, even if they are species who aren't normally that strong out in the wild. (Or at least, that's what I've observed with Skitty anyway.) Which makes sense, since they need to be that strong to even have a hope of beating the game. *cough* Battles against Legendaries *cough*

While I was indulging in the thrill (and the joke, of course) that my main character here could be powerful enough to get through the story, I realized there was another game series where Jigglypuff wasn't relegated to a Never Used Pokemon, but instead is quite a usable character just as much as any other: All versions of Super Smash Bros. (Though Melee a lot more so than Brawl, apparently.) Plus, Guildmaster Wigglytuff is quite feared and powerful in-universe, as well as being ridiculously overpowered when you play as him when he was an Igglybuff in Special Episode 2. Not to mention the fact that Amy's red bow is directly based off of the red bow that Jigglypuff could wear in the original Super Smash Bros. for the N64.

So when I combined all three thoughts in my head, and the fact that we never see Guildmaster Wigglytuff as a Jigglypuff in any of the three Mystery Dungeon games, the natural result led to me speculating if, when the guy was a Jigglypuff, he *might* or might not have been in a Super Smash Bros. game, and if so, that's probably the place from which he gave Amy the idea of that accessory idea. Hehe. It's quite a bit of a stretch, and certainly requires a lot of 4th wall breaking, but hey! Funniest headcanon I've ever had.
