Comic 38 - Stereotypes by Galactic-Rainbow Comic 38 - Stereotypes by Galactic-Rainbow
Comic 37 - Monologuing by Galactic-Rainbow ||  Comic 39 - Plot Twists by Galactic-Rainbow

I remember when I first played through Explorers of Time how surprised I was at the plot twist at this point of the story, yet even more surprised when my younger brother said he could see it coming a mile away just because of the fact that Grovyle was a Grass-type and Dusknoir was a Ghost-type. Of course, since he was 14 at the time and didn't actually play the game, he could have just been trying to impress me, but on the other hand, given how socially savvy he is, it really is kind of obvious now that I'm older and can see the stereotypes that these games tend to (unfortunately) lean towards. Which is part of the reason why I really enjoyed Darkrai when he starred in that 10th Pokemon movie; everyone thought he was the bad guy when it reality he was only trying to help people the whole time.

Of course, this was back in Explorers of Time, not Explorers of Sky, which then added the 5th Special Episode, In the Future of Darkness. As to what happens in it, well...either you all already know, or if you don't, you'll find out soon enough.

Well, after Gates to Infinity, they kinda changed it. And SMD had a pretty shocking moment, which I will NOT spoil

Good point though I fell for the bait as well XD
And I completely agree with liking how Darkai was trying to help, though I'm not a fan of that movie XD

I also find it amusing that team names get stereotyped as well. Team Meanies and Skull end up antagonizing the player one way or another (The names sound evil after all). Then you get Team Charm, which... tend to overdo themselves on the charm and lionheart traits. Then you get Team Poochy, who happen to all be Poochyenas... then Team Slacker, which consist of two of the laziest pokemon in the game... Team Rogue, who speak for themselves in one special episode...

And then you get Team Tasty... Poor Wurmple.

When you mentioned Gengar, you mean the one from Team Meanies from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Red and Blue Rescue Team?

The exact one.
